Legal Requirements:

In accordance with the NATO Security Policy C-M(2002)49-REV1 any access to NCI requires a briefing on the security obligations in respect to the protection of NATO Classified Information.

In accordance with NATO Document on Security Education and Awareness, those briefings are defined in content, effective delivery and certification/acknowledgement of personal accountability.

The briefing shall be delivered to staff:

  • at the beginning of their employment
  • regularly during their posting
  • and upon their departure

A lack of a compliant briefing constitutes a security breach
